Thanks for visiting the former site of Unfiltered News.

Starting with the August 7, 2015, edition, we had a name change and a big upgrade in appearance. The hard-core news has not changed a bit, but our weekly report now is far more professional in both appearance and function.

If you have been used to coming to this page to read our reports, you can continue that by going to NeedToKnow.news. However, if you would like the convenience of having them sent to your email box, click here.

Internet Explorer versions 8 and 9 are unable to process some of the programming code used in the creation of Need to Know. Those browsers may cause the dark blue background to bleed through the news page making it impossible to view text or images.

When we learned that this was so, we tried to find a way to fix the problem but, apparently, there is nothing that can be done about it if we wish to have a website with modern features and functionality.

We are told that only about three percent of Internet users are still using Internet Explorer 8 or 9 and, fortunately, it is easy to upgrade to a current version entirely free, in which case the problem will be solved. The exception will be those who are still using Windows XP, which will not run any version of Internet Explorer after 9. In that case, the solution is to use another browser. Itís that simple. Here is a discussion of several options that I think you will find useful.

Sorry for the problem, but itís part of the growing pains caused by trying to stay abreast of technology. I hope you feel that our new format makes it worth while.
