What in the World Are They Spraying
Those white streaks trailing behind aircraft, from horizon to horizon, turning the sky into a murky haze, are not mere vapor trails from jet engines, but who is doing this and why? A new industry called Geo-engineering, driven by governments, scientists, and corporations, is intent on changing climate and con-trolling weather, supposedly for the good of mankind. (More)

US: Federal Reserve proposes a requirement for banks to have a reserve on hand equal to 7% of loans outstanding as a cushion for emergencies. Larger banks will be allowed to have a cushion of 3% of total assets. 2012 Jun 6 from Sam Gibson
I have recently joined Freedom Force International and would like to hit the ground running. However, I would like clarification on an economic theory that I am having trouble understanding. There is an economic theorist named Mike Montagne who has claimed to have been the creator of the Mathematically Perfected Economy (a trademarked name). I was wondering what Mr. Griffin's thoughts on this subject are, and whether or not he believes them to be valid.

Hello Sam.
The so-called Mathematically Perfected Economy is doomed by the fact that it is based on false premises. The first one is that, when a loan is made, the money created for that loan is insufficient to cover repayment of the interest and, therefore, it will be impossible to repay the loan plus interest unless even more debt is created. Therefore - or so goes the argument - debt must always increase until the interest reaches such massive levels that the economy must collapse. That's the premise. If it were correct, then Mr. Montagne's solution would be reasonable. He says: "There is one and only one solution to inherent, irreversible multiplication of debt by interest; this being eradication of interest."

The idea that interest-bearing debt must, by its nature, expand until the economy is destroyed by the debt load is a commonly accepted fallacy because, upon casual consideration, it seems logical and even mathematically correct. It is further reinforced by the observable fact that the present world is, indeed, in the process of imploding from the weight of interest obligations. It is easy to conclude that this is caused by the existence of interest itself rather than by the fact that banks are allowed to create money out of nothing, which means they collect interest on nothing. That is the real problem, but the man on the street has difficulty understanding these concepts and, thereby, becomes prey to simplistic theories.

This premise of interest-caused expansion of debt can be found in countless critiques of the current monetary and banking system, but it falls apart when we realize the role played by labor in the repayment of loans. Money may be the medium of payment but it is secondary to that for which it can be exchanged, which are goods and labor. Mr. Montagne has built his premise on the value of goods but has ignored the value of labor.

All of this was explained in my book, The Creature from Jekyll Island, but here is a condensed version: Debtors can earn money to pay interest even though it is the same money that was created for the principle of the loan. That may sound impossible, but here is how it works: Let's assume that Mrs. Smith borrows $10,000 from a bank and promises to pay back $1,100 per month for ten months. That would require total repayment of $11,000 including 10% interest. Let's also assume that there is no other money in existence anywhere in the world except for this transaction, which means there is not enough money to repay the loan plus interest -- if it were required immediately. However, since loans are paid off over time and since labor also is expended over time, it is possible for Mrs. Smith to repay both the principle and interest with no extra money being created so long as she does so, bit by bit, over the period of the loan.

All she has to do is agree to work for the bank scrubbing floors once a month for $100 per scrub. When she takes out the loan, she receives $10,000 and starts her scrubbing job at the same time. At the first of the following month, she gives the bank her first payment of $1,100, and the bank gives $100 of that back to her for her work. There still is only $10,000 in existence, but Mrs. Smith now owes only $9,000 in principle plus $900 in interest, and the bank has $1000. The imbalance between amount owed and amount in existence has been reduced by $100. The same thing happens at the beginning of the next nine months until, finally, the bank has its $10,000 back, and Mrs. Smith has, indeed, paid back more than she borrowed. She paid her interest with labor, and that did not require the creation of new money.

The same process takes place when we broaden our view to include all banks, all borrowers, and all workers. The money may move from one to the other in zigzag fashion until it finally gets back to the banks that originated the loans but, in the end, all ledgers are balanced in exactly the same manner as with Mrs. Smith.

Mr. Montagne has based his monetary utopia on the premise that interest is the problem. Nothing could be more wrong than this. Interest is the free-market mechanism that motivates people to voluntarily place financial resources into investments that are necessary for the growth of the economy. Without interest, no one would put their saved money at risk in a new venture. The only way anything would be built or expanded would be if all enterprises were run by the state, and funding could be extracted from citizens through taxation. Montagne does not come right out and advocate this, but that is the only way a no-interest system could work. It is exactly what Hitler and Stalin had in mind.

Since Montagne fails' to reckon with the monetary value of labor, he applies his mathematical formulas to the value of hard assets only. Instead of letting the free market determine the relative value of things, he believes it is the role of some group of administrators (presumably politicians and government bureaucrats) to appraise the value of every asset, control the money supply to keep pace with that appraisal, and devise depreciation schedules for them so no one will receive more out of an exchange than the other party. And he says that all exchanges should be based on a "equal measure" of work, which means either that that no one's work should be more highly valued than anyone else's or that everyone's work must be evaluated by the administrators to make sure that it is properly measured in value. Here is how he phrases it:

"There is one and one only solution to inflation and deflation; this being maintenance of a circulation [money supply] which is at all times equal to the remaining value of the very assets for which the circulation was issued. A schedule of payment equivalent to the rate of depreciation or consumption is key then not only to implementation of mathematically perfected economy™, but to the very economic justice of receiving for an equal measure of our own work, the equivalent work of others."

None of this is a new concept. Karl Marx came up with it first. The Mathematically Perfected Economy is just another name for collectivism.

Hi Mr. Griffin,
I have been a fan of yours for a very long time, and I know you disseminate the very best information available. On May 11, 2012, in your Unfiltered News, there was an article titled, "Former Federal Reserve attorney explains that banks do not lend their own money..." When I read the actual document carefully the information as presented seemed contrived and not at all like a court document. So, in the interest of figuring out if the document was actually real, I googled around and discovered a fairly intense discussion on this document here. In the discussion just mentioned, one gentleman actually looked at PACER, the document system for the federal courts and noted that the document in question didn't appear to have been actually filed...

Just to make sure, I wrote Dr. Walker Todd, who is still an attorney and writer in Ohio. Here was his response:
Dear Mr. Stephens:
I would prefer to explain the affidavit to you in a telephone conversation, but I won't be back home until Tuesday (May 22), and I am kind of busy that day. And other things, too, about money and the Fed and the banks.

On the Affidavit, as it is commonly posted online, it is bogus, altered, and incorrect. It was put there without my knowledge or consent or any compensation to me. It was hijacked electronically between me and the courthouse originally by someone connected to the case (I have my suspicions on who it was but no clear proof). That person then altered the affidavit and inserted his own editorial comments that tend to mislead the lay reader into thinking that my position is, "No lawful money = no valid consideration = no obligation to repay the debt." That is emphatically NOT my position.

Whatever one might think of bank credit, third parties will accept it to extinguish your or my debts. We are unjustly enriched if we fail to repay to the bank the value that it has advanced on our behalf. You cannot borrow bank credit and fail to repay it. My personal view is that this is a related but separate matter from the question of lawful money.

Serious economists and historians can question whether lawful money has existed in the United States since the early 1930s. I infer, however, that the Treasury's position on the matter is that lawful money still exists and that Federal Reserve notes are, in fact, lawful money. Federal courts (but not yet, I think, the U.S. Supreme Court) generally agree with that view and tend to treat the "lawful money" argument in defense of nonpayment of debt as "frivolous and sanctionable." State court treatment of the argument will depend on state law, but you should be aware that the current issue of Black's Law Dictionary makes no useful distinction between "lawful money"
and "legal tender."

I predict confidently that, with the passage of time, this latter argument articulated by Black's will prevail, barring the wake-up of the American public and the election of someone like Ron Paul who actually understands the question. More than that I would prefer not to say in writing at this time.

[I emphatically do NOT want the affidavit distributed in the manner in which it currently is commonly distributed on the internet and even in seminars whose clear intent usually is to mislead the unwary. If you or persons known to you are distributing it, I hereby ask that such distribution stop.]
Walker F. Todd

2012 Jun 4 from David Foster
Dear GEG and colleagues,
I have scrutinized the Bilderberg Meeting list with keen interest, thank you for drawing our attention to their official website. I have a couple of observations. The meeting has almost 150 participants, this is "Dunbar's number:" the evolutionary anthropologist explained his hypothesis here.

Secondly, I count only 15 women on the list, so the gender ratio is close to only one in ten. Arguably one of the most influential of these women is Josette Sheeran, now Vice Chairman of the World Economic Forum, former Exec. Director of the UN World Food Programme. Her views on global food policy will clearly be listened to, as after "regime change," nuclear safety and water, food provisioning is arguably the most pressing global concern.

Notwithstanding the reactionary illogic of "resentniks," how our aspiring "blue-blooded" lace elites at Chantilly engage with this crisis of provisioning will probably determine the fate of the world's population and international trade, since how the world eats is central to the market and how GMO "science" is legitimated. My own view is that the "feeding the world" agenda is a patronising and pretentious conceit.
The real issue is why we arrogantly presume to actually prevent people from feeding themselves through time honoured means that are often ecologically healthy and sustainable – all in the name of market-driven "blueprints" for intensive, highly industrialized, bio-synthetic, centrally controlled and dangerously polluting destructive technologies of mass production. Never mind China's ambiguous one-child directive, how about a "one garden"
directive for all? Intensive agriculture (monoculture) should augment, not replace traditional peasant methods.

Finally, I should like to suggest that the problem with this meeting is not just it's exclusivity... (after all, practical considerations like Dunbar's number must prevail, as with any community of minds) – but its unaccountability and clandestine ideological focus. If these people purport to have the just governance of this planet as their ostensible aim, where are the mechanisms and judicial systems of accountability and transparency that such responsible government requires? This should be an open forum, not a closed shop for a supposedly "privileged and gifted" minority. Who has the right to determine such criteria for membership? What are the realistic checks to such de facto financial and intellectual tyranny? Are there some things that money can buy but shouldn't?

The Story of Vitamin B17

G. Edward Griffin
marshals evidence that cancer is a deficiency disease, like scurvy or pellagra, caused by the lack of an essential food factor in modern man’s diet. That substance is vitamin B17, also known as Laetrile. This story is not approved by orthodox medicine. The FDA, the AMA, and The American Cancer Society have labeled it fraud and quackery. Yet the evidence is clear that here is the answer to the cancer riddle. Why has orthodox rejected this non drug approach? The author contends that the answer is to be found, not in science, but in politics – based upon the economic and power agenda of those who dominate the medical establishment. Sale now in progress. It is common for health-conscious families to install chlorine-removal filters in their kitchens, but it has been estimated that we absorb more chlorine through our skin when taking a bath than we ever could from drinking water. That is because the body's skin surface is larger than the intestinal surface and because the lungs, too, are very efficient absorbers, and we inhale a substantial amount of chlorine gas while bathing. Benefits of de-chlorinated water are reduced exposure to toxic chlorine, healthier, younger looking skin; softer, more manageable hair; less fading of color-treated hair; relief from dry skin and scalp; and better lathering. A discourse by G. Edward Griffin
Without notes or preparation, Griffin fields questions about the United Nations, global warming, and how these topics are tied together. Here are some of the issues covered:
Is the UN our last best hope for peace or the foundation for global feudalism? Is the UN controlled by leaders of nations or by hidden structures and power brokers? If the latter, who are they? Are American elitists motivated by love of country, desire for international harmony, or something less admirable? Is it possible to get out of the UN, or have we passed the point of no return? With regard to global warming, what is Agenda 21? Is forced population-control justified to save the planet? Is the UN's report on global warming based on valid science? If not, then what? If the mission of the World Health Organization is not world health, then what? What are the IMF and World Bank and why should anyone care about them? What is the Freedom Force strategy for reversing the trend toward global feudalism? (More)

by “The People’s Chemist”, Shane Ellison, M.S. A former chemist for Big Pharma tells how drugs are highly toxic and, in many cases, cause greater illness than they alleviate. But the nutritional supplements sold in health-food stores also are manufactured by pharmaceutical companies and are not the “natural” products we assume they are. Synthetic vitamins may be chemically similar to those in nature but they are devoid of the co-factors found in the natural state, and that means that vitamins in a pill are far less effective than in foods and herbs. This led Ellison to examine thousands of natural sources, to identify those that are loaded with complete nutrition. In the process, he found some that can produce astounding reversals of such chronic diseases as obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and even cancer – all for under $10 for a 30-day supply.
